A bit about me
I am a contemporary abstract artist living and working in the beautiful Headwaters Region about an hour northwest of Toronto, Ont. I am self taught and have literally been addicted to painting for about 10 years. I absolutely love bringing a painting to life even when it feels hard! Over the years my subject matter has varied but through it all my style has been one of texture, layers and the use of colour.
I have had a long time relationship with rock, first growing up in Quebec on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River and now living with the Niagara Escarpment practically at my doorstep. An artist residency on The Rock, i.e. Newfoundland, in 2024 turned my attention to rock as subject matter or more specifically, how rock makes me feel. Throughout Scripture, rock has been used as a symbol of strength, refuge, remembrance, and God's unchanging nature. My abstract paintings draw on these rich metaphors, using colour, texture, and layered surfaces to capture and reflect my feelings about faith, hope, and the beauty of creation.

My art has been shown in many exhibitions as well as in several solo shows and can be found in homes across North America, Europe and even on utility boxes in Orangeville, Ontario. I became an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists in 2025.
I work primarily out of my studio at the Alton Mill Arts Centre, a beautiful historic old mill in Caledon, Ontario. Visitors are always welcome!
I love inspiring creativity in others and so I occasionally lead workshops in my studio and at Maggiolly Art Supplies in Orangeville.
